i'm still alive and kicking. working working working. i'm still working on the various projects i've got going, the table is still going, playing around with my new hardware.
i've recently setup an asterisk pbx server for our office here to replace our existing system. asterisk is quite a powerful system and can do everything a fully featured really expensive pbx can do and more! i'm replacing our traditional phones with ip based phones.
i saw on a site last night about integrating asterisk with apple's address book. the site goes into detail about using an xml-rpc based server. i've made a simpler script that calls a local php script which makes a socket connection directly to the pbx server and then calls my phone, when i pickup it'll dial the number i requested. quite cool!
i'm redesigning this site at the moment, going to add a few sections, namely document the stuff i've been doing with asterisk and the table a bit more. here's a little sneak peak :)
i'm still trying to get it right so that i'm happy with it, i'm a picky bastard.

it seems like forever since i last touched this site or even thought about posting. i've been really really busy. finally after a few weeks of waiting, my mini board arrived for the table. it's so small, so so small!
everything is all built into a nice little package.

Asterisk

i've been quite busy recently and haven't been feeling like posting. i think i will eventually to get around to redesigning this site. one day it'll happen :)
so i've been playing around with asterisk, and i have to say it's one of the best open source products i've ever used.
i'm still working on the table, i haven't forgot about it or put it to the side, just waiting on new hardware to arrive to do some more testing and setting up.
it's been raining lately which is sucky, i'm hoping it doesn't continue to rain because this weekend is easter long weekend, 4 days off!
