I don't understand the weather here at times. One day it's the hottest day on record in about 70 years, the next it's pissing down like nobody's business. Today turned out to be a very nice day indeed so I decided to snap a few pics of the kitties with my new lenses.

The zoom on this telephoto lens is amazing, it picks up great detail.

We took the cats for their checkup and annual vaccinations on the weekend which went good, the cats are very healthy, and pixel shouldn't put on any more weight.

I still can't believe how fast this year has flown by, it's going to be 2005 soon enough, how weird. I managed to snap a picture of casper whilst he was holding still.

Looks like the iTunes Music Store will hit down under soon enough! Hopefully today/tomorrow according to rumours and whatnot, 'bout fucking time is all I can say.

I had a wonderful birthday weekend which consisted of dinner, friends, family and great food. I got some really really generous birthday presents this year. I'm now the proud owner of two new lenses and a battery grip for my EOS 300d. Stef and henry bought me the Seinfeld boxed set DVDs and a very cool Simpsons poster.

It's been a while since my last post, and as usual things are busy busy busy. I've been playing around with my new lenses today and yesterday and the macro shots and telephoto shots are sooooo awesome!

The battery grip lets me use two batteries at a time and gives me a vertical shutter which works a treat. I stuck both of my batteries I got with my camera in there and it works a real treat, battery life is awesome.

Coffee Count
Tuesday, 5th October 2004 at 11:17AM (1416 days ago)
Our coffee machine has a nifty little feature which keeps track of the number of coffees that the machine has made. As of this weekend the total is 2505 since October 10th 2003.

Based on this value i've worked out that this is an average of around 7 coffees per day, which at the rate of $3 per coffee is $21 per day and $7665 per year. Considering the machine cost us a little bit under $2000 i'd say it's already paid for itself :)
I can't believe it's my birthday this month! Where the hell did this year go?
