How can we waste your time?

Can someone please explain to me why companies think that having call centres offshore can save them money? It takes 10 times as long to deal with these call centres as the people can hardly speak english, let alone understand what you are saying.
Ringing Apple just now I get transferred to a call centre in India. As per usual I have to repeat and spell my name at least 5 times. Why Apple, why have you sunk to this new low?!?!?!?

It's been a long good while since i've actually posted anything. Looking at my last post it was on the 18th September, it's now almost the start of November, how time flies. I've been engulfed in work and another project for quite some time now, i'd love to talk about it, but i'm not a point where i'm able to discuss this with the rest of the world.
Things are still going good, we're actively trying to plan the wedding. I had a rough month with my cats which involved taking them to a behaviourlist (long long story), that's all over now thank god. I've got lots on my plate and the days seem to not have enough hours in them.
On another note I was thinking about what to do with my MAMEintosh site. I'm still actively keen to start producing kits, but at the moment I just don't have the time. I was thinking of turning it into an information/wiki type site all focused on Mac based arcade goodness. If you think you'd be up for helping on such a task, drop me an email, i'm keen to get something going with this project. Eventually i'll get around to actually producing the kits, but I figured in the meantime why not help out other people who want to put together their own cabinets. I get lots of email from people about the cabinet and how to help them start, how to wire things up, etc. Now i'm rambling.
Anyways this is just a short post to say hi, and i'm still here. I'm toying with Typo at the moment and thinking about moving over to that. I rewrote my CMS mostly in Rails in a few hours, but i'm not entirely happy with it. Enjoy.
