about 7 years ago apple australia decided to stop selling macs in the various department stores around. the staff selling the macs had little to no clue and basically the macs didn't sell.
a few weeks ago apple announced that they would start selling macs again in department stores, first off they'd start with david jones in the city and see how they went.
renae and i wandered into the city today and thought we'd stop by to check it out. i seriously can't believe the stupidity of apple australia. in a small corner of the computer section they have the powerbooks, ibooks and a g4, plus some software and the ipod. however, there are about 20 times the amount of wintel machines in the store than there are macs. the macs are crammed into a small corner and the sales staff there have absolutely no clue.
i'm guessing it won't be too long before they realise what a bad mistake it is. apple australia really needs to get their shit in gear and take lead from the head office.
